Belmont Film Gets 1st Runner Up in Province-Wide Contest

With their minute-long film “Through the Eyes“, Belmont students, Brandon Gregor, Jon Bond, Dylan Grant and Cole Penner received first runner up in the Vancouver Sun’s Student Video Awards. Out of nearly 170 submissions, “Through the Eyes” ranked high in the category for best Public Service Announcement.

Shot in black and white, “Through the Eyes” takes a look at gang membership through the eyes of a gang member.

Under the supervision of teacher Lori Haddon, Belmont entered five films into the Public Service Announcement category in this year’s inaugural contest.
