SD62 had a great showing at the Provincial French speech competition (concours d’art oratoire) at SFU in Surrey last weekend. SD62 sent 6 competitors from École John Stubbs and École Journey.
The annual concours is for French immersion and core French students in grades 6-12. Top students in each category go on to the national competition in Ottawa where high school students compete for scholarships and other fabulous prizes.
Bravo aux participants de la commission 62!

Everyone is invited to come and learn about SD62’s Financial Plan for the 2013/2014 school year.
Secretary Treasurer Harold Cull will go through the planning process, annual operating budget, highlight the key indicators and answer any questions or inquiries people might have. This is a great chance to come and see how the funding in a medium-sized school district is dispersed.
