We Need Your Input About Our New Schools

What an opportunity we have as a School District and as a community to shape the future of our schools and education programs as we embark on building two new secondary schools. The school board, along with us and the community lobbied hard to get approval for the new schools, but the work is only just beginning to make them a reality.

We have been out talking to community groups and organizations about what kinds of programs and services we should offer at our two new secondary schools. We also want to give you a chance to see where we are in the planning process and to hear your views.

What kinds of education programs should we be offering?
What community services do you think we need make available at our schools?
What should we name the two schools?

When:

Wednesday, March 28 – 5:00 – 8:00 PM

Thursday, March 29 – 5:00 – 8:00 PM

Saturday, March 31 – Noon – 3:00 PM

Where:

Belmont Secondary School – North Gym

Community input is a vital part of the planning process. This is a unique opportunity to shape our schools so they reflect our community. This is your opportunity to get involved. This is a drop in/Open House format, so come on the date and time that suits you and stay as long as you like. Project team members will be on hand to answer questions and gather your input.

Let your friends and neighbours know about the upcoming Community Open Houses.

The decisions we make today will result in the schools we will live with for the next 50 years. Let’s make sure that we’ve heard from as many voices as possible and that we create vibrant schools for our community and our children.
